Company Description:

The College is located in southern Westchester County, bordering the communities of Yonkers and Bronxville, NY--15 miles north of New York City. A 30-minute train ride from the Bronxville station takes students into Midtown Manhattan.

<span style="font-size:16px; font-weight:bold;">Campus</span>
The SLC campus occupies 44 wooded acres. Ivy-covered Tudor-style and contemporary buildings house classrooms, faculty offices, and student residences. Sarah Lawrence has outstanding library, performing arts, music, visual arts, science, computing, and sports facilities.

<span style="font-size:16px; font-weight:bold;">Enrollment</span>
Sarah Lawrence has been coed since 1968. The College's 1,300 undergraduate students and over 300 graduate students come from nearly every state and from 27 countries. About 85 percent of undergraduate students live on campus.

<span style="font-size:16px; font-weight:bold;">Undergraduate Academic Program</span>
The academic structure combines small seminar classes with individual student-faculty conferences. Students take courses from at least three of the following four areas:<ul><li>
History and the Social Sciences</li>
<li>Natural Sciences and Mathematics</li>
<li>Creative and Performing Arts</li></ul>
Students receive written evaluations; grades are recorded for transcript purposes.

<span style="font-size:16px; font-weight:bold;">Faculty</span>
Ranked #1 by The Princeton Review in 2013, Sarah Lawrence's faculty is made up of respected scholars, artists, writers and performers. With a 10-to-1 student-faculty ratio, our faculty has a higher level of one-to-one involvement with each student's education than is found at any other major undergraduate college in the country.

<span style="font-size:16px; font-weight:bold;">Financial Aid</span>
To make a Sarah Lawrence education available to a wide range of students, the College awards financial aid on the basis of need. Currently, about 65 percent of all students receive some form of financial aid.

<span style="font-size:16px; font-weight:bold;">Admission</span>
General information is available on this site for admission to undergraduate and graduate programs as well as to the Center for Continuing Education BA, post-BA, and non-credit programs.

<span style="font-size:16px; font-weight:bold;">Study Abroad</span>
Sarah Lawrence students enjoy opportunities for study abroad in the College's own international programs in Berlin, Buenos Aires, Catania, Florence, Havana, London, Oxford, and Paris as well as through other institutions in countries around the world.

<span style="font-size:16px; font-weight:bold;">Graduate Studies</span>
SLC offers several master's degree programs: Art of Teaching, Child Development, Dual Degree in Social Work and Child Development with NYU, Dance, Dance/Movement Therapy, Health Advocacy, Human Genetics, Theatre, Women's History, Joint Degree in Women's History and Law with Pace University, and Writing.

<span style="font-size:16px; font-weight:bold;">Center for Continuing Education</span>
The Center for Continuing Education (CCE) prepares adults to begin, or resume, their college careers. CCE offers credit courses for those pursuing a bachelor's degree or specific course credits to qualify for graduate school , as well as non-credit and pre-college programs

<span style="font-size:16px; font-weight:bold;">Child Development Institute</span>
CDI enhances programs in child development and education at Sarah Lawrence -- and the greater area educational community -- through outreach programs, lectures, conferences, and other activities.

<span style="font-size:16px; font-weight:bold;">Early Childhood Center</span>
ECC is a laboratory school for children from two through six years of age. ECC serves families and children in lower Westchester County and in the College community.

<span style="font-size:16px; font-weight:bold;">Allied Institutions</span>
 Sarah Lawrence offers exchange programs with the California Institute of the Arts (Cal Arts), Eugene Lang College, Pitzer College, Reed College, South India Term Abroad (SITA), Spelman College, and Tsuda College in Tokyo, Japan.
